NEW Gourmet Coffee Beans - Black Blend Coffee from Brazil and India - Healthy Food

BLACK BLEND COFFEE

Black Blend Coffee is a blend of 50% Arabica from Brazil, specifically from the Minas Gerais region, and 50% Robusta from India.

Black Blend Coffee is characterized by very low acidity and a perfectly balanced aftertaste of bitter chocolate that transitions into a medium, yet very pleasant bitterness of Italian walnuts.

The fresh, green coffee beans for Black Blend, which we roast in our roastery, come from the 2019 harvest. We roast the coffee to a medium degree. We roast the coffee in a very balanced way, and the roasting process does not suppress its natural aroma.

Black Blend has a high caffeine content. The crema, the foam that forms on the surface of the coffee after brewing it as espresso, is cognac-colored.

Taste/Aroma:  very bitter chocolate, cedar notes, leathery, and Italian walnut.

Arabica beans from Brazil are cultivated in the Cerrado region, located in the southwestern part of the Minas Gerais state, known for its uniform climate and elevation. Cerrado is an impressive, vast area of approximately 1,400,000 hectares, where coffee plantations are located. About 3,600 coffee producers operate permanently on this land, most of them belonging to large cooperatives. Individual coffee plantations vary in size, ranging from small 100-hectare ones to vast fields extending over more than 3,000 hectares.

The average temperature throughout the year is around 20 degrees Celsius, and the annual rainfall totals about 1600 mm. The rainy season occurs here from December to March. The altitude of the terrain varies from 900 to 1250 meters above sea level.

The stable climate benefits coffee producers, allowing them to focus on quality and production without worrying about weather anomalies. The advanced technology of farmers in the Cerrado region enables precise control over crops. Harvesting takes place from May to September. The beans undergo a natural processing method. Coffee cherries are sun-dried for several days until the pulp becomes soft and brittle, separating naturally from the bean. This processing method results in coffee brewed from beans obtained in this way having a high body, significant sweetness, and low acidity
